Another short & sweet post today- seems to be the name of my game lately! I can always make time to peruse the web for fashion inspiration!! I’m totally digging the off the shoulder trend but I’ve yet to try it out. Most of my spending money these days has been reserved for paint, furniture, yard tools and anything inside the walls of Home Depot. I think HD will be the only store I’ll be frequenting for quite some time… #adulting. The items above are on my radar (despite my nonexistent budget for clothes these days) and I think #5 & 6 might need to make their way into my closet. White & any shade of blue is such a classic combination for summer- they’re the perfect hues to show off your sun-kissed skin & beachy waves! I’d pair any of the tops above with white shorts or jeans (if it ever cools down) & cute sandals like this gladiator style, this metallic option or this fun neutral pair. Do you dare to bare your shoulders this summer?!
A quick post today- still busy with house projects and BAKING in the heat wave we are experiencing in the South right now! I hope all of you are staying cool and hydrated in the heat!
I wanted to pop in to share some of my favorite palm print pieces that are super on trend for summer. My style is REALLY simple to begin with but even more so when it’s insanely hot, sticky & humid. Palm print is a fun way to look put together without having to sweat it! The print speaks for itself & is easy to just “throw on & go” which is what summer style should be all about in my book!
What are your favorite summer fashion trends & tips?!
Hello again! It has been a LONG time since I’ve posted here. ChefQ and I were in the process of buying a house & moving so the past few months have been insanely busy! We are finally settled into our new place and are absolutely loving it! There are plenty of projects to be done to put our own personal spin on the house- which will be both fun and a learning experience for me. Luckily Q knows what he’s doing (he works in the construction arena) and can teach me all about home improvement. I’ll be sharing our finished masterpieces here, as we check each one off of our list. We have plans to build an outdoor shower, paint our kitchen cabinets (eeeek!), build some furniture pieces and spruce our space up a bit! So stay tuned for “before & afters”, DIYs, and what did and did not work for us in our adventures!
I missed this blog and sharing recipes & inspiration with you all. My goal is to be more consistent going forward; especially because I have a dedicated office in the new house- I feel like a real adult! 🙂 You can expect to see 2-3 blog posts each week from here on out. Comment below if there’s anything you’d like for me to share or feature-I’d love to hear from you!
Now that all that business is out of the way- onto 4th of July inspiration. It’s hard to believe it’s already here!! 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays and I’m sure almost everyone feels the same. We celebrate the freedom of our country and all of those that have fought for and continue to fight for it today! It’s fun to get together with family & friends, enjoy activities outside & cooking/grilling out or BBQing! We don’t have any major plans other than braving the crowds (early!) for the beach and grilling out plenty of good food. Hopefully we’ll catch some fireworks too!
We’re planning on enjoying plenty of fresh, local seafood this weekend and probably sticking to tradition and making hot dogs and hamburgers as well! It wouldn’t be the 4th without them. Below are some of my favorite food & cocktail recipes I used for inspiration for our holiday weekend menus!
We have plans to do a Seafood boil and I LOVE the unique idea of the spicy green dipping sauce! I’ll share our photos/thoughts over on instagram!
Personal FAVORITE- I love spicy drinks! Find it here
How cute & festive! Recipe here
Crowd pleaser Rosé Sangria
Can’t go wrong by combining Rosé & Margaritas to make this Mosé
What are you all planning for your menu and celebrations this weekend?! Remember to have a SAFE & happy Independence Day weekend and take time to honor all who make this holiday possible!
