Tuna Ceviche

Ceviche is something I crave during the dog days of summer.  It’s the quintessential, refreshing “light bite” after a long, hot day.  It’s especially perfect with the plethora of fresh tuna being reeled in off our NC coast!

Tuna Ceviche

  • 1/3 lb of fresh tuna cubed *sashimi grade (I’d recommend picking it up from a trusty fish market)
  • 1 scallion, chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon mint leaves, chopped
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sesame seed oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl (except for the lime juice) prior to serving. Taste & adjust if needed. Sprinkle the lime juice over the tuna mixture just before serving. Do this to avoid the tuna “cooking” when it comes into contact with the lime juice. Serve with chips and enjoy!
